In July 9-21, 2012 we have organized a Summer School "From nonlinear Physics to Biology and Medicine" at the Institut d'Etudes Scientifiques de Cargèse (IESC) in Corsica.
This interdisciplinary School was focused on the investigation of the biophysical and biomechanical processes in living matter with a special attention to medical problems.
Participants were invited to submit an abstract for a seminar (30min talk), short communication (15min talk) or a poster.
Main topics
- modelling of tumor growth
- cell motility and tissue engineering
- biofilms and biorheology
- pattern formation and morphogenesis of living systems
- mechanobiology
